CHRISTINE CONWAYMICHAEL SLANINA
YOUNGSTOWN -- The Rev. John Keehner solemnized the marriage of Christine Marie Conway and Michael E. Slanina on June 1 at St. Columbia Cathedral.
A reception was held in honor of the couple at Willow Creek in Girard, and afterward the newlyweds left on a wedding trip to Las Vegas.
They live in North Lima.
The bride is a daughter of Rich and Gloria Conway Jr. of Vienna Township.
The groom is a nephew of Ernest Hamilton of Boardman and the late Betty Hamilton, who raised him.
Marti Emerick of Akron attended the bride as matron of honor, and bridesmaids were Darlene Wilms of Hubbard and the bride's niece, Sharon Larsen of Columbus.
Performing the duties of best man was Vincent Harper of Youngstown, and serving as groomsmen were Craig Walters of Berlin Center and Jason Savage of Youngstown. Ushering guests was the groom's nephew, Ron Croutch of North Carolina.
Mrs. Slanina is employed as an accounts payable clerk at Specialty Pipe and Tube in Mineral Ridge.
Her husband is a load crew leader at Seven-Up Bottling Co. in Youngstown.
