Report: Miller Brewingconsiders a merger

MILWAUKEE -- Miller Brewing Co. is reportedly discussing a merger with a pair of United Kingdom-based breweries and could announce a deal as early as March.

The new company would combine Miller, Edinburgh-based Scottish & amp; Newcastle PLC and London-based South African Breweries PLC, overtaking Anheuser-Busch as the world's largest brewer, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported.

CALGARY, Alberta -- PanCanadian Energy Corp. is merging with Alberta Energy Co. in a more than $13 billion all-stock deal. The new company, EnCana Corp., would overtake Houston-based Anadarko Petroleum Corp. as the world's biggest oil and gas exploration and production company.
