"Time for Babies and Books." Books, songs, rhymes and more at 9:30 a.m. (for babies 6-12 months) and 10:30 a.m. (for babies 13-23 months) Feb. 7 at Boardman and Feb. 18 at Canfield, and at 10:30 a.m. (for babies 6-23 months) Feb. 14 at Austintown. Each baby in attendance must be accompanied by an adult.

"Pajama Time Stories." Fun for ages 3-6 at 7 p.m. Feb. 7 and 21 at Main Library. Come in your P.J.'s.

"Something Special." Stories and more fun for children ages 3-6 at 10 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Feb. 21 at Sebring.

"Xplore Black History." Tips on discovering your ancestors for grades 7-12 at 7 p.m., Feb. 20 at Main Library.

"Ice Cream Social and Poetry Slam." Read your own poem or a favorite while enjoying an ice cream treat for grades 7-12 at 6 p.m. Feb. 12 at Austintown.

"Make a Secret Valentine." Fun for grades 7-12 at 7 p.m. Feb. 11 at Boardman.

"Friendship Bracelets." Come and enjoy a fun afternoon for grades 7-12 from 1-5 p.m. Feb. 9 at Brownlee Woods, and Saturday at Struthers.

"Pop-Up Pandemonium." Create your own pop-up greeting cards for grades 7-12 at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 4 at Canfield, and 4 p.m. Feb. 4 at Sebring.

"Anime and Manga." Do you like it? Do you make it? Take in your favorites for grades 7-12 at 1 p.m. Feb. 23 at East, Saturday at North and Feb. 9 at South.

"Show Off and Share Your Hobby." For grades 7-12 at 10:30 a.m. Feb. 9 at West.

Adult Programs

"Lunch and Learn at the Library: Jazz and the War." At one time, Swing was king, but during World War II, a change to this style of jazz music accelerated a new era with both a traditional, Hot Jazz, and a modern, Bebop, movement. Dr. Martin Berger will discuss this topic and play musical examples at noon Feb. 12 at Main Library. Those attending can take a brown bag lunch to enjoy during the program. There will be coffee free of charge.

"Friends of the Library Meetings." Scheduled at 9:30 a.m. Feb. 11 at Boardman, 6 p.m. Feb. 20 at Brownlee Woods, 5:30 p.m. Feb. 11 at Main Library and 10 a.m. Feb. 5 at Poland. New members welcome!

"Free Blood Pressure Screenings" will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Feb. 20 at Austintown, 12:30-3:30 p.m. Feb. 4 at Boardman, 12:30-3:30 p.m. Feb. 21 at Canfield, 1-4 p.m. Feb. 26 at Poland, 1-4 p.m. Feb. 19 at Struthers and 12-2 p.m. Feb. 19 at West.

"Grant Center: Grant-seeking Basics Workshop." Introduction to funding research process is a basic orientation for nonprofit organizations seeking information about funding sources at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 6 at Main Library. "Getting Started with FC Search." Introductory session for learning how to use FC Search, the Foundation Center's Database on CD-ROM. This database is available in the Grant Center, which is part of the Information Services Dept., at 9:30 a.m. Feb. 9 at Main Library.
