HOWLAND -- The marriage of Lani Beth Sniderman and Steven Arundale Weatherhead, both of 355 Pine Ave., Carlsbad, Calif., was solemnized by the Rev. Cameron Close at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 29 at the Grand Pavilion of Opus Twenty One.
A reception was held afterward at the pavilion to honor the daughter of Marilyn and Stephen Sniderman, 2214 Coronado Ave., Youngstown, and the son of Ruth and Herbert Weatherhead, 2761 Lacresta Drive, Beaver Creek.
The couple spent their honeymoon in Santa Barbara, Calif., and live in Carlsbad.
The bride wore a sleeveless silk shantung gown enhanced with lace and featuring a scooped neckline.
The bride's twin brother, Andrew Sniderman of New York, served as honor attendant. The bridal attendants were Lydia Sniderman, the bride's sister-in-law, and Peter Sniderman, her brother, both of Charleston, S.C.
The duties of best man were performed by the groom's brother, Michael Doran of Beaver Creek, and groomsmen were Steve Cornelli of Fairfax, Va.; Phil Pruden of London, Ohio; and Jeremy Roberts of Jackson, N.J.
The bride graduated from Ohio State University, Columbus, with a bachelor's degree in human ecology and earned a master's in education at OSU in Mansfield. She is a fifth-grade teacher at San Diego Jewish Academy, San Diego, Calif.
The groom holds a bachelor's degree in mapping and land information science from OSU and is a first lieutenant in the U.S. Marine Corps at Camp Pendleton, Calif.
