FESTIVITIES

Punxsutawney celebrates Groundhog Day on Feb. 2. Crowds are largest when it's on the weekend. Find a schedule of events at www.groundhog.org, official site of the Punxsutawney Groundhog Club.

GETTING THERE

The closest large airports are in Pittsburgh and Cleveland, and are 2 1/2 and three-hour drives away, respectively. Air service also is available to Altoona and Johnstown, Pa., which are closer.
