Crash injures 6

BOARDMAN -- Two people were hospitalized and four were treated after a crash that occurred when a car ran a red light on U.S. Route 224, the Ohio State Highway Patrol said. Eric Tropepe, 16, of Sylvia Lane, Youngstown, was cited on a red light violation after the crash at Applewood Boulevard about 10 p.m. Sunday. The patrol said a car driven by Kathy Shall of Liberty Avenue, Girard, was headed out of the driveway of Best Buy when it was struck in the side by Tropepe's car, which was headed east on Route 224. Shall and a passenger, Robert Amicone, 16, of Waverly Avenue, Youngstown, were in stable condition Monday in St. Elizabeth Health Center. Four other passengers in the car were treated for injuries.
