YSU BASKETBALL Today's games

MEN
Who: YSU (3-13, 1-5 Horizon League) vs. Illinois-Chicago (10-9, 2-3).
When: 4 p.m.
Where: UIC Pavilion, Chicago, Ill.
The coaches: John Robic (34-40) is in his third season with the Penguins. Jimmy Colins (76-87) is in his sixth season with the Flames.
YSU starters: Stephen Flores, 6-foot-7 senior forward (7.5 points per game, 4.8 rebounds per game); Brian Radakovich, 6-7 freshman forward (6.4, 4.1); Jimmy Moore, 6-5 freshman guard (7.5, 5.1); Doug Underwood, 6-3 freshman guard (11.9, 4.1); Ryan Patton, 5-11 senior guard (15.1, 2.3).
Illinois-Chicago starters: Cedrick Banks, 6-3 sophomore forward (13.5 ppg, 3.8 rpg); Cory Little, 6-5 senior forward (6.6, 4.7); Thor Solverson, 6-11 senior center (7.8, 5.8); Jordan Kardos, 6-2 senior guard (11.8, 1.3); Jon Schneiderman, 6-1 junior guard (9.4, 2.6).
Scouting report: The Penguins have lost four straight in the Horizon League, dropping a 72-63 road contest Saturday at Loyola-Chicago. Freshman Brian Radakovich has paced the Penguins in the last two games, both in scoring and on the boards. YSU is still looking for its first road victory -- it is 0-9 away from home. UIC comes into the game on a three-game losing streak. The Flames dropped their last contest to IPFW on Saturday 99-80.
The series: This is the fifth meeting between the two teams and the Flames have won all four previous meetings. The teams last met in 1993-94 in the Mid-Continent Conference, with the Flames winning twice, 95-75 at home and 84-82 at Beeghly Center.

WOMEN
Who: YSU (6-9, 3-2 Horizon League) vs. UW-Green Bay (12-5, 6-0).
When: 8 p.m.
Where: Phoenix Sports Complex, Green Bay, Wis.
The coaches: Ed DiGregorio (307-209) is in his 19th season with the Penguins. Kevin Borseth (63-28) is in his fourth season with the Phoenix.
YSU starters: Jen Perugini, 6-2 freshman forward (12 points per game, 10.8 rebounds per game); Barbora Fabianova, 6-0 freshman forward, (8.0, 2.9); Jenny Horner, 6-2 senior center (9.6, 7.0); Maggie Johnston, 5-5 junior guard (7.9, 3.0); Heather Harris, 6-0 sophomore forward (13.1, 3.6).
UW-Green Bay starters: Amanda Leonhard, 5-8 senior guard, (9.7 ppg, 2.5 rpg); Sara Boyer, 5-9 junior guard (13.9, 2.9); Elizabeth Dudley, 5-8 junior guard (6.8, 3.5); Mandy Stowe, 6-1 senior center (16.4, 4.9); Kristy Loiselle, 5-10 junior forward (8.6, 5.9).
Scouting report: The Penguins pulled back into contention in the Horizon League by posting a 64-56 victory over Illinois-Chicago on the road last Thursday. The Penguins got a career-high 17 points from freshman Barbora Favianova to lead the attack. UW-Green Bay is one of the leaders in the conference with a perfect 6-0 record and most recently defeated Cleveland State on Saturday.
The series: This will be the sixth meeting between the two teams, with the Phoenix holding a 5-0 advantage. The teams have not met since they were both members of the Mid-Continent Conference back in 1993-94. That year Green Bay swept the Penguins 68-47 and 63-42.
