Published: Sun, January 20, 2002 @ 12:00 a.m.

Events planned for the next few days for Westminster College's sesquicentennial are:

A chapel program for Martin Luther King Jr. Day at 4 p.m. Monday by the Rev. Steve Allen, college chaplain; Jeannette Hooks, diversity coordinator; and President R. Thomas Williamson. There will be gospel music and various readings from the Rev. Dr. King's speeches.

Kickoff celebration at 7:30 p.m. Monday in Orr Auditorium with hypnotist Tom DeLuca. Before the show, the Westminster community will have the opportunity to get an "antique" photo taken and receive sesquicentennial memorabilia.

Tuesday will be an all-campus birthday cake celebration from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. in Orr lobby. W. Paul Gamble will sign his book "The Westminster Story, 1852-2002: Glorious, Grand & amp; True." J. G. McGill will sign his print "Glorious, Grand & amp; True, 150 Years."

A full schedule of events for the sesquicentennial can be found on the Westminster College Web site at www.westminster.edu.
