Trumbull crash injures six people

JOHNSTON -- Six people were injured in a two-vehicle accident on state Route 5 near state Route 88 around 1:40 p.m. Saturday in this Trumbull County township.

Ohio State Highway Patrol officials said Matthew Gilmore, 18, of Warren, lost control of his vehicle while heading north on Route 5, striking a vehicle that carried a family of five from Ravenna.

Brian Miller, 28, and his wife, Denise, 25, were listed in stable condition at Forum Health Northside Medical Center. One of their children, 4, was listed in critical condition at St. Elizabeth Health Center. Another, 1, was treated. No information was available on a third child, 2.

Gilmore was listed in fair condition at Forum Health Trumbull Memorial Hospital. The OSHP said he was cited with failure to control his vehicle.
