GIRARD -- The exchange of nuptial vows took place at 2 p.m. Dec. 29 as Amanda H. Smith, 1 Maple Grove, Hubbard, and Eric A. Teutsch, 4350 Berkshire Ave., Warren, were united in marriage by the Rev. James Mashburn at New Life Christian Fellowship.
Afterward a reception was held at Grace Lutheran Church in Hubbard to honor the daughter of Denise Smith, also of 1 Maple Grove, and the late Willard Smith, and the son of Bob and Marcia Teutsch, 16 Washington Ave., Niles.
The bride is majoring in journalism and French at Youngstown State University.
The groom graduated from YSU with a degree in education and is a high-school Spanish teacher with Warren City Schools.
The couple live at the groom's address.
The bride's A-line ivory satin wedding gown was enhanced with lace and pearls. She completed her ensemble with a fur-trimmed cape that extended into a chapel train.
Wearing a cranberry-colored gown was the bride's sister and honor attendant, Samantha Smith of Hubbard.
The groom's brother, Aaron Teutsch of Niles, performed the duties of best man.
