Trumbull fair admission

BAZETTA -- Adult admission to the Trumbull County Fair will be the same this summer as last. The fair board decided Thursday that tickets for the first three days of the fair, beginning July 9, will be $6 for adults. The price goes up to $7 a day for the last three days.

Senior citizen tickets are going up from $2 to $3, said Richard Roscoe, board president.

The fair board also appointed Chris H. Barber, of Howland, to fill the remaining term of resigning member Ed Knapp.

Food distribution

STRUTHERS -- The Fellowship Church COGIC food bank is open and scheduled to begin distribution to the needy from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday. Distribution will begin on the third Tuesday of each month. For more information call (330) 750-0002.

Hospice training

BOARDMAN -- Forum Health at Home Hospice, formerly Hospice of Northeast Ohio, is offering a volunteer training class at Beeghly Medical Center beginning Feb. 27. The class will meet from 9 a.m. to noon once a week for eight weeks.

Volunteers help families of patients by sitting with patients, completing errands, assisting with household chores and just being there.
