SHARON, Pa. -- Sharon's superintendent of schools is back at work after suffering a heart attack Aug. 10.
Richard A. Rossi was back at his desk Monday. He had originally been scheduled to return Nov. 27 but had to undergo heart bypass surgery the week before Thanksgiving.
Rossi, 52, said Tuesday that he feels great and has been given a clean bill of health by his physician to do whatever he wants.
He has less than six months left on his contract with the school district.
The board voted 7-2 in November not to retain Rossi after his five-year contract expires June 30.
The board announced it will open the job to other candidates.
Rossi said at the time that he knew he had fallen out of favor with some school directors but he didn't know how many were against him. He thought he had the solid support of four board members, he said.
