The Redmonds are honored for 50th anniversary

GREENVILLE, Pa. -- Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Redmond of Greenville were honored Jan. 12 at a family dinner at the Hickory Grille in Hermitage, Pa., on the occasion of their golden wedding anniversary.

Helping them celebrate the event were their children, Bob Redmond of Brookfield; Bill Redmond of Warren; Bonnie Smith of Youngstown; Jim Redmond of Sharpsville, Pa.; Joe Redmond of Warren; and John Redmond of Youngstown. Another son, Warner Redmond, is deceased.

Sixteen grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren complete their family.

Mr. Redmond and the former Eleanor Geer were married Jan. 14, 1952, in Waynesburg, Pa. He retired in 1983 from Copperweld Steel in Warren.

His wife is a homemaker.

The couple attend Old Salem United Methodist Church.
