BASEBALL

Tri-T -- will meet Jan. 16 at 8 p.m. at the Poland Community Baseball Center. All communities planning to participate in Tri-T must be represented at the meeting by their league president or designee. Call 707-1399 or e-mail tritbaseball@aol.com.

The Baseball School -- accepting registration for players ages 8-14 its winter clinic that starts Feb. 17. Call (330) 793-5605.

Umpire clinic -- hosted by the Tri-County League at Columbiana High School Feb. 9 from 10 a.m. until 2. Call John at 793-6665.

BASKETBALL

Canfield youth tournament -- for 5th and 6th grade girls teams on weekends through Feb. 3. Teams are guaranteed a minimum of five games. Call Sharon Luklan at 533-1921 or Gene Donofrio at (330) 702-1955.

Poland youth tourney -- sponsored by the All Sports Boosters for boys and girls in the 5th and 6th grades on Feb. 16, 17, 23 and 24. For registration, call Ken Ekis at 757-2884.

Ten Star All-Star -- summer camp applications are now being evaluated for boys and girls ages 10-19. Players from 48 states attended the 2001 camps. College scholarships are possible for players selected to the all-American team. Ten Star's camp in Ohio will be in North Canton. The camp is by invitation only. Call (704) 568-6801, anytime.

FLAG FOOTBALL

Valley Sports -- is now registering teams for its second session which starts later this month. For details call (330) 755-1661.

ICE SKATING

Lessons -- being offered Saturday mornings at the Mill Creek Park rink in the Wick Recreation Area for participants age 4 to adult. Beginner lessons will run Feb. 2, 9 and 16. Rental skates available. Call (330) 740-7126.

SOCCER

Valley Sports in Struthers -- is accepting registration for teams and individuals age under-5 through adults for indoor play. The deadline is Friday. Call (330) 755-1661.

SOFTBALL

TENNIS

Boardman Tennis Center -- is running a junior league (10-years-old, high school) Jan. 20 through early March. Club members have priority but non-members will be accepted until filled. Price per player is $70. non-member, $60. member. Play is Sundays at 3 or 5.

TRACK

Pickerington High -- is seeking boys and girls teams for the Stingel Invitational on April 20. Call Mark Aprile at (614) 833-3046.

UMPIRING

Youngstown Metro Association -- will have classes to become an Ohio high school baseball/softball umpire. Classes start at Canfield High School, Feb. 13. Call Ron Bunofsky (534-1434) or John Mang (330) 502-6665.

VOLLEYBALL
