Summary of police activity:

BOARDMAN

Jan. 1

Burglary: Someone broke a window of an apartment in the 2000 block of Wolosyn Avenue.

Arrest: A 24-year-old North Jackson man was arrested at the Red Roof Inn, 1051 Tiffany Boulevard, and charged with disorderly conduct and public intoxication.

Theft: A wallet was stolen at Giant Eagle, 1201 Doral Drive.

Arrest: A 16-year-old Youngstown girl was arrested in the 100 block of Lemans Drive and charged with being an unruly juvenile.

Vandalism: Someone smashed the window of a vehicle in the 8000 block of Colwyn Street.

Theft: Two purses were stolen at Dillard's, 7401 Market St.

Arrest: A 23-year-old New Middletown man was arrested on Glenwood Avenue and charged with carrying a concealed weapon.

Jan. 2

Theft: Two lawn mowers were stolen from a garage in the 4000 block of Chester Drive.

Auto breaking and entering: A vehicle was broken into in the 4000 block of Hillman Way.

Auto damage: Two cars were scratched with keys in the 7000 block of South Avenue.

Criminal damage: Someone did $400 in damage to a backhoe at a construction site in the 400 block of Boardman-Poland Road.

Theft: A man is accused of stealing $50 worth of cigarettes at Marathon Oil, 965 Boardman-Canfield Road.

Theft: A 31-year-old Youngstown man was arrested in the 600 block of West Ravenwood and charged with theft.

Jan. 3

Auto theft: A 1994 Chevy truck was stolen in the 4000 block of Chester Drive.

Criminal damage: A man is suspected of cutting computer wires in the 100 block of Clifton Drive.

Theft: A man is accused of stealing numerous socks at Kmart, 1209 Boardman-Poland Road.

Theft: A man is accused of stealing DVDs from Hollywood Videos, 6731 South Ave.

Auto breaking and entering: A vehicle was broken into in the lot of Boardman Acura, 883 Boardman-Canfield Road.

Theft: A 34-year-old Youngstown woman was arrested at Ames, 476 Boardman-Poland Road, and charged with stealing a cell phone.

Theft: Someone stole $1,115 worth of jewelry from a home in the 1000 block of Zander Drive.

Arrest: Three juveniles were arrested at Wal-Mart, 1300 Doral Drive, and charged with stealing $131 worth of clothes and jewelry.

Criminal damage: Someone did $150 in damage to a vehicle door lock in the lot of Movies 8, 469 Boardman-Poland Road.

Arrest: A 25-year-old Boardman man was arrested at Phar-Mor, 7151 Tiffany Blvd., and charged with deception to obtain a dangerous drug.

Jan. 4

Theft: A UPS package was stolen from the porch of Hospice of the Valley, 5190 Market St.

Arrest: A 18-year-old North Lima man was arrested at Dairy Mart, 7103 Lockwood Blvd., and charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.

Auto theft: A 1995 Chevy Blazer was stolen in the 800 block of Edenridge Drive.

Jan. 5

Theft: Two 15-year-old Youngstown boys were arrested in the 5000 block of South Avenue and charged with theft.

Burglary: Someone broke into an apartment in the 4000 block of Hillman Way.

Theft: A purse was stolen at the Southern Park Mall.

Auto theft: A 1986 Chevy Celebrity was stolen in the 5000 block of Glenwood Avenue.

Criminal damage: Someone broke a dryer to obtain coins in the 5000 block of West Boulevard.

Criminal damage: Someone damaged asphalt in the 800 block of Forestridge Drive and the 800 block of Oakridge Drive.

Theft: A man is accused of stealing two coats from the Men's Wearhouse, 7310 Market St.

Jan. 6

Arrest: A 23-year-old Youngstown woman was arrested in the 4000 block of Euclid Boulevard and charged with falsification and insurance fraud.

Auto theft: A 1987 Ford Tempo was stolen in the 900 block of Cook Avenue.

Auto theft: A 1985 Chevy Caprice was stolen in the 7000 block of West Boulevard.

Auto damage: Someone caused $630 in damage to a vehicle in the lot of Jillian's, 7401 Market St.

Auto damage: Someone caused $700 in damage to a vehicle in the lot of BW-3, 7401 Market St.

Theft: Someone stole four hubcaps from a vehicle at Southern Park Mall.

Arrest: A 24-year-old New Waterford man was arrested on South Avenue and charged with disorderly conduct and obstructing official business.

POLAND

Jan. 4

Arrest: A 15-year-old Poland girl was arrested at Poland High School, 3199 Dobbins Road, and charged with assault, menacing and disorderly conduct.

Jan. 5

Theft: Someone stole two rings from a home in the 7000 block of Cobblers Run.

Jan. 8

Arrest: A 40-year-old Pennsylvania man was arrested on U.S. Route 224 and charged with drug abuse and possessing paraphernalia.
