LOCAL Davis pops 27 to key Thiel romp

A.H. Davis and Erik Hemsing helped the Tomcats roll to a 97-70 win over Hiram.
GREENVILLE, Pa. -- Boardman High graduate A.H. Davis scored 12 of his game-high 27 points in the first half, as Thiel College defeated Hiram 97-70 Wednesday.
Erik Hemsing scored 10 of his 12 points in the first half, to aid Thiel (4-10).
David Mayle led Hiram (2-12) with 21 points.
Baldwin-Wallace 89, Mount Union 84, OT: ALLIANCE -- Baldwin-Wallace hit 12-of-18 free throws in overtime to beat Mount Union.
Thad Davis scored 22 points for Baldwin-Wallace (4-9, 2-5 Ohio Athletic Conference). Todd Richards led Mount Union (10-4, 5-2) with 17 points.
Grove City 95, Medaille 65: GROVE CITY, Pa. -- Jim Fetzner scored 21 points to lead Grove City (10-4) past Medaille (2-11). Pat Roberts scored 16 and grabbed 12 rebounds in the victory.
Lock Haven 61, Slippery Rock 49: SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. -- George Bailey scored 23 points to lead visiting Lock Haven (4-9) past Slippery Rock (4-8).
Ben Zajac and Donteil Lewis each scored 10 points in the loss.
Women: BEREA -- Natalie Winkelfoos scored 14 points for Baldwin-Wallace (5-8, 3-4 OAC) in a 77-46 win over Mount Union.
Nikki Scarpitti led the Purple Raiders (8-5, 4-3) with 10 points.
Slippery Rock 78, Lock Haven 66: SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. -- Stacey Green scored 19 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to lead five Slippery Rock (7-5) players in double figures in a win over Lock Haven (5-7).
