BOARDMAN -- Atty. Mark Gervelis, senior counsel for the Gervelis Law Firm, has named a Board Certified Trial Advocate by the National Board of Trial Advocacy. NBTA certification is recognized by the Ohio Supreme Court as a specialized credential. Gervelis, a personal injury trial lawyer, has practiced law for more than 20 years and is now practicing personal injury law in Mahoning and Trumbull counties.YOUNGSTOWN -- The Youngstown-Warren Regional Chamber has won the 2001 first place gold award for regional economic development from Business Facilities, a monthly magazine for top-level executives involved in site selection for their companies' facilities. The chamber was recognized for its forward-thinking efforts to revitalize an economically distressed area and an airport with declining passenger traffic by developing AeroPark, a growing multimodal transportation hub at Youngstown-Warren Regional Airport. AeroPark, which has direct runway access, has attracted three companies, bringing 475 new jobs and almost $149 million in capital investment in its first year. Companies there are Timken Latrobe Steel Distribution, Android Industries and Delphi Automotive Systems. YOUNGSTOWN -- Meg Stadtler, a partner with Carbis Walker & amp; Associates, LLP, certified public accountants and consultants, has been named a Certified Valuation Analyst by the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts. She completed an intensive training and testing process to achieve the certification. CANFIELD -- Carl Heltzel, a financial adviser at the Prudential Securities Canfield branch, has received the company's Quantum Portfolio Manager designation. A Girard resident, Heltzel earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from New England College and joined Prudential Securities in 1999.
