Jan. 15: 7 p.m., King's Dream, a fine arts presentation by Key Art Productions, in the Lutheran Heritage Room of the Howard Miller Student Center, Thiel College, Greenville, Pa.
Jan. 21: Free presentation featuring local gospel music group R.E.A.L. 4 U and a guest speaker in the Penn State Shenango auditorium, 145 Shenango Ave., Sharon, Pa.
Jan. 19: 3 p.m.: Salute to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. luncheon at Vernon's Cafe, 720 Youngstown-Warren Road, Niles. The Rev. Alton Merrell, pastor of New Jerusalem Fellowship Church and president of the Trumbull County Ministerial Alliance, is the speaker at the event presented by the Trumbull County Chapter of the A. Philip Randolph Institute. Cost is $20 for adults and $15 for children under 12. Tickets may be purchased by calling (330) 399-1794.
Jan. 20: 4 p.m.: Martin Luther King Jr. program with music and a guest speaker at the First Presbyterian Church, 125 N. Jefferson St., New Castle.
Jan. 21: 7:30 a.m.: Community Breakfast with four-time Olympian Joetta Clark Diggs at Avalon Inn and Resort, 9519 E. Market St., Warren. Presented by the Trumbull County Martin Luther King Jr. Dream Team, breakfast costs $15. Call Bobbie Brown at (330) 399-1212 for reservations.10:30 a.m. -- 1:30 p.m.: Youth and Adult Workshops at Warren G. Harding High School, 860 Elm Road N.E., Warren. Held by the Dream Team, the free program features workshops on cultural diversity with Cliff Johnson, basketball and baseball clinics, a preparing for college session, arts and drama.
