CAMPUS NOTES In the spotlight
SLIPPERY ROCK UNIVERSITY
Thirteen Slippery Rock University students, including four from the Shenango Valley area, will spend spring semester studying in Spain. The local students are Tom Cessna of Grove City, Taryn U'Halie of Sharon, Bethany DeMarsh of Slippery Rock and Kelly Krider of Meadville. The students will study at Universidad de Alcala in Alcala de Henares, 30 miles northeast of Madrid.
Anne Callahan, daughter of Rosellie Stephani Callahan of Poland and Joseph Callahan of Kutztown, Pa., spent fall 2001 semester studying at Goldsmiths College in England as part of the Middlebury College Study Abroad Program. The college is in Middlebury, Vt.

Six local students at JCU were inducted into Phi Eta Sigma national honor society: Todd A. Belinky of Youngstown, son of Mr. and Mrs. Mark Belinky; Robert Rosen of Boardman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Rosen; Kimberlee J. Gargasz of Poland, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Randall Gargasz; James S. Alexee of Canfield, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Alexee; Molly A. Jenkins of Hubbard, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Jenkins; and Megan K. Macala of Canfield, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Macala.
OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY
Meredith Ohlin of Poland, a senior at OSU's University College of Veterinary Medicine, received the Shering-Plough Animal Health Corp. Scholarship. The award is given to a senior veterinary student interested in small-animal medicine. Ohlin was a University Scholar and a member of Alpha Sigma Nu and Phi Zeta.

Tracey Lynn Mohr of North Jackson has accepted membership in Golden Key International Honor Society. Mohr also is a member of the Phi Eta Sigma and Alpha Lambda Delta honor societies and Pi Sigma Alpha, the national political science honor society.
