Summary of police activity:

Dec. 17

Theft: A 57-year-old Youngstown woman was arrested and charged with stealing clothes from Kmart, 1209 Boardman-Poland Road.

Burglary: Items worth an estimated $2,875 were stolen from an apartment in the 30 block of Shields Road.

Break-in: Someone forced open a garage in the 200 block of Charles Avenue and stole a motorcycle.

Theft: A male stole a pair of boots from Payless Shoes, 48 Boardman-Poland Road.

Theft: About $550 was stolen from the register at JoAnn Fabrics, 7386 Market St.

Burglary: Two swinging doors and a window were broken to gain entry to a home in the 90 block of Arlene Avenue.

Dec. 18

Auto damage: A vehicle was broken into in the 800 block of Presidential Drive.

Theft: Items were stolen from a vehicle in the 700 block of Crestview Drive.

Criminal damage: Two rocks were thrown through a window of a vehicle at Supreme Heat Treat, 8420 South Ave.

Theft: About $200 in cash and items were stolen from a vehicle in the 6000 block of Appleridge Drive.

Criminal damage: About $100 in damages was done to a door window of a home in the 4000 block of Southern Boulevard.

Criminal damage: About $408 in damages was done to a dryer in a laundry room in the 300 block of Shields Road.

Auto theft: A CD player was stolen from a vehicle in the 6000 block of Appleridge Circle.

Arrest: A 19-year-old Boardman man was arrested on Southern Boulevard and charged with carrying a concealed weapon, drug paraphernalia, driving under suspension and possession of marijuana.

Dec. 19

Theft: $50 was stolen from the register at Microtel Inn, 7393 South Ave.

Break-in: A home in the 600 block of Cook Avenue was entered and $200 was stolen.

Auto theft: A 1993 Jeep Wrangler was stolen at BW3, 7401 Market St.

Theft: Tools worth an estimated $1,257 were stolen from a car at Funcoland, 403 Boardman-Poland Road.

Theft: A 46-year-old Youngstown woman was arrested at Dillard's and charged with stealing $335 worth of clothes.

Dec. 21

Theft: A lawn mower was stolen from a home in the 7000 block of Market Street.

Theft: Items were stolen from a construction site in the 800 block of Mayfield Road.

Auto damage: A sideview mirror was knocked off a vehicle in the 6000 block of Market Street.

Theft: Two cartons of cigarettes were stolen from Marathon, 5823 South Ave.

Theft: Uniforms valued at $600 were stolen from a vehicle at Southern Park Mall.

Theft: About $375 worth of jewelry was stolen from a home in the 7000 block of West Parkside Drive.

Theft: A hearing aid was stolen at Home Savings and Loan, 4005 Hillman Way.

Arrest: A 13-year-old Salem boy was arrested at Wal-Mart and charged with stealing toys.

Auto damage: The windshield of a vehicle was broken at Phar-Mor, 7121 Tiffany Blvd.

Dec. 22

Auto damage: An estimated $1,500 damage was done to the paint of a vehicle at Movies 8.

Auto thefts: A 1996 Oldsmobile Cierra was stolen from the 4000 block of Brookwood Avenue and a 1996 Pontiac Sunfire was stolen from the 4000 block of Lake Park Road.

Auto damage: An estimated $125 in damages was done to a vehicle at BW3.

Theft: A 12-year-old Youngstown boy was arrested at JCPenney and charged with stealing two pairs of shoes.

Dec. 23

Auto thefts: A 1982 Buick Regal was stolen from the Sears parking lot and a 1996 Pontiac Grand Am was stolen from the 3000 block of Loveland Road.

Theft: A statue was stolen from a porch in the 600 block of Angeline Drive.

Dec. 24

Auto theft: A 1986 Oldsmobile Cutlass was stolen from the 400 block of Orlo Lane.

Theft: A male stole a pair of shoes from Gabriel Brothers.

Break-ins: Three apartments were broken into in the 5000 block of Sheridan Drive.

Auto theft: A 1992 Chevy Blazer was stolen from the 80 block of Leman Drive.

Criminal damage: A rock was thrown through a window of a home in the 7000 block of Salinas Trail and a mailbox was smashed in the 7000 block of West Parkside Drive.

Dec. 26

Theft: A 47-year-old Youngstown man was arrested at Sears and charged with stealing a pair of boots.

Theft: A 30-year-old East Palestine woman was arrested at J.C. Penney and charged with stealing a sweater.

Theft: A 17-year-old Youngstown girl was arrested at Wal-Mart and charged with stealing cologne spray.

Auto break-ins: Three vehicles were broken into at Tinseltown, three others were entered at Movies 8 and one was broken into at Camelot Lanes.

Dec. 27

Auto theft: A 1989 Buick LeSabre was stolen from Southern Park Mall.

Theft: A 13-year-old Youngstown boy was arrested at JCPenney and charged with stealing a necklace.

Auto break-in: A vehicle was broken into at Cinema South.

Dec. 28

Theft: $50 was stolen from a register at Boston Market, 435 Boardman Poland Road.

Dec. 29

Theft: A 23-year-old Youngstown man was arrested at Wal-Mart and charged with stealing clothes.

Dec. 30

Theft: A license plate was stolen from a vehicle at Central Heating and Cooling, 5625 South Ave.

Dec. 31

Theft: A $223 check was stolen from a home in the 3000 block of Risher Road.

Theft: A man stole movies from Kmart.
