YOUNGSTOWN -- The Commission to Accredit Rehabilitation Facilities has awarded a three-year accreditation to Burdman Group Inc. for its vocational rehabilitation programs in Mahoning and Trumbull counties.
Pine Industries in Warren and Northeast Industries in Youngstown, the two divisions of Burdman that were surveyed, offer job training and employment placement services to individuals with disabilities as well as the economically disadvantaged.
Of the 600 standards that are used to determine the effectiveness of an agency's services, Burdman received only one recommendation for improvement.
Burdman's vocational programming primarily receives its funding from the Ohio Rehabilitation Services Commission, Trumbull Lifelines and the Mahoning County Board of Mental Health.
