AUSTINTOWN Two face charges in separate reports of domestic violence

AUSTINTOWN -- Police arrested a South Edgehill Avenue boy and a Chadwick Lane woman Wednesday, after receiving reports that each threatened a relative with a knife.
The boy, 17, is charged with domestic violence, aggravated menacing, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of marijuana. The woman, 45, is charged with domestic violence.
The boy's mother told police that she left the South Edgehill home Wednesday evening after an argument with the boy. She said when she returned about 7 p.m., the boy got a kitchen knife and threatened to kill her.
She then got into her car and left. The boy tried to slash her tires as she drove away, she said.
The boy's mother later told police that the boy was using drugs. Police found drug paraphernalia and suspected marijuana in the boy's bedroom.
Second report: Police arrested the Chadwick Lane woman about 10:50 a.m., after receiving a report that she had threatened to stab her daughter with a knife. The daughter told police that her mother also threatened her with a bottle.
The mother was angry at the daughter for taking a friend to the hospital, the daughter said.
