THURSDAY

XCol. Louis J. Campbell Post 3538, VFW, will hold a spaghetti dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. at the post home, 157 Lowellville Road, Struthers. The pasta dinners will be served with meatballs, salad, bread and butter, and coffee. Cost is $4.50 for adults and $2.50 for children under 8. Carryout orders will be $5 and will be available only until 6 p.m. Containers will be provided.

FRIDAY

Holy Trinity Church, 250 Bridge St., Struthers, will be selling potato, cabbage and lekvar pirogi. Orders will be taken from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Thursday and from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at (330) 755-0064. No walk-ins will be accepted. Orders may be picked up from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Friday only. Patrons are asked to provide containers.

Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church will serve fish dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. at the church hall, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod, Spanish rice or haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries, coleslaw, bread and butter, and coffee or tea. The cost is $7 for adults and $3.50 for children. Dessert will be an additional $1.50. Containers will be provided for takeouts. Orders will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at (330) 792-1005.

Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church Hall, 526 W. Rayen Ave., Youngstown, will be selling pirogi, hot pirogi lunches, and plain, cinnamon and powdered sugar doughnuts. Orders are taken from 8 to 11 a.m. Thursday and Friday at (330) 746-9528. Orders should be placed early and are to be picked up by 2 p.m. Friday. Cost is $3.50 for a dozen pirogi.

Hubbard VFW 3767 Auxiliary, 710 W. Liberty St., will hold a fish fry from 3:30 to 7 p.m. Cost is $6 for large dinners, baked or fried, and $4.25 for small dinners. The menu also will feature a choice of french fries, haluski or macaroni and cheese. Carryouts will be available. For information call (330) 534-9775.

National Shrine of Our Lady of Lebanon, 2759 Lipkey Road, North Jackson, will be serving a fish buffet and selling pirogi. The buffet will be available from 3:30 to 7 p.m. The cost will be $8 for adults and $5 for children. Potato and cheese pirogi may be ordered ahead as a takeout. The cost is $4 a dozen.

The youth group of North Bloomfield United Methodist Church, routes 45 and 87, will sponsor a chicken and biscuit dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. For information call (440) 685-4536 or (440) 685-4646.

Queen of the Holy Rosary Church, 291 Scoville Drive, Vienna, will be selling potato and cheese pirogi for $3.75 per dozen. Orders may be placed from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Wednesday at (330) 856-2597; pickup will be from noon to 4 p.m. Friday. No walk-ins orders will be accepted. Patrons are asked to provide their own containers or there will be an extra 50-cent charge for one, and should use the hall-side entrance.

St. Anthony Church, 1125 Turin Ave., Youngstown, will be making and selling pizza. Orders may be placed by calling (330) 746-9577 from 8 a.m. to noon Thursday and from 7 to 10:30 a.m. Friday. Orders must be picked up by 1 p.m. Friday.

XSt. Brendan Church will sponsor a fish dinner from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Maxwell Hall, 144 N. Schenley Ave., Youngstown. The menu will consist of beer batter, fried or baked fish, macaroni and cheese, baked potato or french fries, coleslaw, bread and butter, cake and coffee. Cost is $7 for adults and $4 for children 12 and under. For takeout service call (330) 799-3683.

St. Demetrios Church, 3223 Atlantic St., Warren, will serve fish dinners from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Dine-in or takeout will be available, and dinners will feature baked or fried fish, choice of two side dishes, coleslaw, bread and butter, dessert and beverage. Side dishes will include green beans, rice, macaroni and cheese and french fries.

Fish dinners will be served from 4 to 7 p.m. in the parish center at St. James Church, Route 422, New Bedford, Pa. Meals are $6.50 for adults and $3 for children, and will include baked or fried cod, homemade pirogi, macaroni and cheese, french fries, coleslaw, dessert and beverage. Takeouts will be available.

Potato, prune and kraut pirogi will be sold at St. Joseph the Provider Church, 633 Porter Ave., Campbell. Phone orders may be made beginning at 8 a.m. at (330) 755-1316 and can be picked up beginning at noon. No walk-in orders will be accepted. Patrons are asked to provide their own containers.

St. Luke Church, 5235 South Ave., Boardman, will be baking Italian-style red and white pizza. Phone orders will be accepted at (330) 788-0025 between 8 and noon only. Pickup will be until 1 p.m.

XSt. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church will hold a family fish fry from 4 to 7:30 p.m. at Shady Run Activity Center, 3800 Shady Run Road, Youngstown. Meals will feature 10-ounce fried or baked haddock with side dishes and dessert. The price is $7.50 for adults and $5.50 for children 12 and under. Takeout orders also will be available.

St. Paul the Apostle Church, Route 170, Main Street, New Middletown, will sell potato, sweet cabbage and cottage cheese pirogi. Orders can be called to (330) 542-3525 from 7 to 11 a.m. Thursday and 7 a.m. to noon Friday. No walk-in orders will be accepted. Pickup will be from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday. Frozen pirogi will be available.

St. Rose Church of Girard Ladies of Mount Carmel Society will be selling pasta and beans, fried dough and several varieties of pizza at the church, 48 E. Main St., Girard. Orders can be placed by calling Kathy Barreca at (330) 509-9057 or Louise Rose at (330) 545-0000. Pickups will be from noon to 4 p.m. There will be no walk-in orders accepted for pizza.

St. Stanislaus Church, 430 Williamson Ave., Youngstown, will sell potato, kraut and cottage cheese pirogi. Customers should call in advance orders from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. Thursday and from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Friday, based on availability, at (330) 747-3024. The cost is $3.50 a dozen. On Friday lunches will be served from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and pickup will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Patrons are asked to provide their own containers and use the side entrance.

Tod Avenue United Methodist Church, 155 Tod Ave., Warren, will hold an all-you-can-eat fish dinner from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Meals are $6 for adults and $2.50 for children.

SATURDAY

Ali Baba Daughters of Mokanna will serve spaghetti dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. at Ali Baba Grotto Hall, 760 Perkins-Jones Road, Warren. The cost is $5 for adults and $3 for children 5-12. Children under 5 eat free. For more information call (330) 637-5653 or (330) 652-8674.

Leetonia Band Boosters will sponsor a spaghetti dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. at Orchard Hill Middle School, 450 Walnut St., Leetonia. Tickets are $4 for adults and $2 for children under 5. Meals also will feature meatballs, salad, bread, beverage and dessert. Carryouts will be available. Proceeds will benefit band transportation, trip and uniform funds.

Lordstown Apple Cider Festival Committee will sponsor a Swiss steak dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. at Lordstown Administration Building, Salt Springs Road. The cost is $7 for adults and $3.50 for children 12 and under. Meals also will feature mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans, salad, bread, beverage and dessert.

Trinity Lutheran Church, 56 N. Chestnut St., Niles, will sponsor a spaghetti dinner beginning at 5:30 p.m. The cost is $5.50 for adults, $4 for senior citizens and $3 for children 3-10. Vienna United Methodist Church, 4265 Warren-Sharon Road, Vienna, will hold a Swiss steak dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. Meals also will feature mashed potatoes, gravy, vegetable, coleslaw, applesauce, bread, beverage and pie. SUNDAY

A spaghetti dinner will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at First Federated Church, 10786 Mahoning Ave., North Jackson. Cost is $5.50 for adults and $3.50 for children under 12. The menu also will feature salad, bread, beverage and dessert. Carryouts will be available; call (330) 538-3936. Proceeds will go toward church summer camp fees for the youth.

Paradise United Church of Christ, 10020 New Buffalo Road, North Lima, will hold a baked potato dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The menu also will feature multiple toppings, baked beans, coleslaw and cookies. Cost is by donation.

Parkman Chamber of Commerce will sponsor a pancake and sausage breakfast from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Parkman Community House, Route 422, Parkman. Meals are $6 for adults, $2.50 for children 6-12 and free to children 5 and under.

St. Charles Home and School Association will sponsor a "Sunday Spag-tucular" dinner" from 11:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Father Haidet Hall, 7325 Westview Drive, Boardman. Proceeds will benefit the school. The pasta dinner will feature choice of spaghetti or cavatelli with sauce and meatballs or sausage. The chicken parmigiana dinner offer a choice of spaghetti or cavatelli. Meals include salad, beverage, bread and butter, and dessert. Cost of adults is $6 for pasta dinners and $7 for chicken parmigiana. Pasta dinners are $4 for children 4-10, and children 3 and under eat for free. Takeouts will be available. Raffle tickets will be sold for theme gift baskets.

XSt. Mary Church, 3505 Main St., Mineral Ridge, will serve a breakfast from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Pancakes, french toast, sausage and eggs will be on the menu, and cost is $5 for adults, $3 for children 5-12 and free to those under 5. For takeout service call (330) 652-8319.

St. Mary Byzantine Catholic Church, 7782 Glenwood Ave., Boardman, will serve spaghetti dinners from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday. Meals will include meatballs, salad, pastries and coffee. The cost is $5 for adults and $3 for children under 12. Patrons are asked to provide containers for carryouts.

St. Matthias Church will sponsor a spaghetti dinner from noon to 3 p.m. at the Father Snock Center, 2800 Shady Run Road, Youngstown. Cost is $5 for adults, $3 for children 5-11 and free to children under 5. Meals also will feature meatballs, salad, bread and butter, cake, and coffee or tea. Pop will be available for 50 cents. Takeout service also will be available.

St. Patrick Church, will sponsor a spaghetti dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the church social hall, 1410 Oak Hill Ave., Youngstown. Meals are $5.50 for adults and $3 for children under 8. TUESDAY

TAKING ORDERS

Circle of Serbian Sisters of Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown, is taking orders for nut, apricot and poppy seed kolachi for Easter until March 15. The cost is $7 each, and pickup will be from noon to 5 p.m. March 29. Orders may be called to (330) 538-3031 or (330) 782-9978.

XOrders are being taken through March 10 for smoked kolbasi and fresh sausage by the Men and Women of the American Hungarian Reformed Church, 925 Mahoning Ave., Youngstown. To order call John Varga, (330) 755-9406, or the church office, (330) 743-4557. Pickup will be from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 16 at the church hall. The cost is $2.50 a pound. Packages come in two pounds and above.

Senior UOL of Sts. Peter and Paul Church, 1025 N. Belle Vista Ave., Youngstown, is taking order for stuffed cabbage until March 10. Boar's Head Ladies of St. John's Episcopal Church, 323 Wick Ave., Youngstown, will sponsor a chicken dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. March 6 at the church. The menu also will feature mashed potatoes and gravy, salad, bread and butter, pie and beverage. Cost is $5, and containers will be provided for takeout orders. No reservations are necessary. Good Hope Lutheran Church, 12030 Market St., North Lima, will serve pancake and sausage dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. March 9. The cost is $5 for adults, $2.50 for children 5-12 and free for those under 5, and will include all-you-can-eat pancakes. Extra sausage will cost 50 cents.

Sts. Cyril and Methodius Church, 185 Laird Ave. N.E., Warren, will serve sacrificial soup suppers following the 6 p.m. Mass March 6 in the social hall. Freewill offerings will be taken and donated to a charity.
