LIBERTY -- A 24-year-old Youngstown man was shot Wednesday evening.
Robert Osenforth of 3010 Northgate Drive was in guarded condition today in Northside Medical Center, where he is being treated for a gunshot wound of the abdomen.
Capt. James Cerenelli said there have been no arrests, but police have several suspects.
Police reported they went to 3002 Green Acres Drive about 6:30 p.m. after receiving reports of multiple shots fired.
They went to 3001 Green Acres and found Osenforth lying in a first-floor hallway.
Couple faces chargesof child endangering
GIRARD -- A Girard couple has been bound over to the Trumbull County grand jury on charges of child endangering.
Cindy Kelly, 40, and her husband, Brian Kelly Sr., 35, of 510 N. State St., remain free after posting a $5,000 cash bond. Trumbull County Children Services has custody of their son and two of Mrs. Kelly's children from a previous marriage.
The charges were filed after their 4-year-old son, Kelly Jr., was injured when run over by a van after stepping into traffic along North State Street near their home.
Medical society plansspring fund-raiser
WARREN -- The Trumbull County Medical Society Alliance will have its annual spring fund-raiser, "A Night of Comedy," March 16 in Avalon Inn.
The beach party includes dinner, gift basket raffles and comedic entertainment.
All proceeds will go for nursing scholarships and to these charities: Mobile Meals, Hospice, summer enrichment for disabled children, Someplace Safe, Teen Straight Talk and Camp Falling Leaf.

Pupils to put on show
WARREN -- McGuffey Elementary School pupils will perform "America Rocks" in the school gym at 1 p.m. Friday.
The show is a patriotic performance featuring songs from each time period in history, a salute to the flag, the Gettysburg Address and a celebration of American history.
'Cinderella' at Harding
WARREN -- Richard Rogers' movie-musical "Cinderella" is coming to Harding High School.
The school's drama club will celebrate the 100th anniversary of Rogers' birth with a re-enactment of the 1957 hit that starred Julie Andrews.
The performances will be at 7:30 p.m. March 1 and 2 in the Harding auditorium.
Rogers wrote some 900 songs and 40 Broadway musicals.
Tickets are $4 for children and $6 for adults.
Students get trainingfor anti-tobacco work
WARREN -- The first annual teen tobacco summit will be from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday in the administration building at Kent State University Trumbull Campus.
The event is sponsored by Trumbull County Coalition for Tobacco Free Youth and funded by a grant from Trumbull Memorial Hospital Foundation.
The purpose is to equip high school students with the necessary tools to do projects in their communities relating to tobacco.
State Sen. Tim Ryan of Warren, D-32nd, will make remarks, and student groups, various organizations and companies will make presentations.

Easter egg hunt
WARREN -- Warren Citizens Committee is sponsoring its third annual Easter egg hunt for children of all ages.
The event is scheduled for March 23. Location is to be announced.
Volunteers are being sought to help and donations from individuals and businesses are being accepted.
The organization started the egg hunt in 2000 to provide children with positive activities while city parks were closed because of budget cuts.
A clown and magician will be on hand and face painting will be available.
