Summary of police activity:

CANFIELD

Feb. 14

K-9: The Canfield Police Department's K-9 dog Hammer was used to assist in the search for suspects in a burglary at C & amp;M Auto Salvage, 13030 Woodworth Road, Springfield Township.

Feb. 17

Drug abuse: Charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and drug abuse were brought against three people after a traffic stop on North Broad Street. Police charged a 29-year-old Canton man with possession of drug paraphernalia and drug abuse-possession after finding rolling papers, a plastic bag of suspected marijuana, a pipe containing suspected marijuana residue; a 20-year-old Navarre woman passenger was charged with drug paraphernalia and drug abuse-possession and the female passenger and owner of the car was also charged with drug abuse and possession of drug paraphernalia.

AUSTINTOWN

Feb. 10

Criminal damaging: Sixteen feet of chain-link fence was damaged in the residential 3000 block of Oakleigh Avenue.

Assault: A man was assaulted at The Jacaranda, 1601 S. Raccoon Road.

Criminal damaging: A 14-inch snow tire was reported damaged at the Days Inn, 1051 N. Canfield-Niles Road.

Theft: Several DVDs were stolen from Hollywood Video, 5225 Mahoning Ave.

Feb. 11

Auto theft: A white 1993 Chevrolet Corsica was stolen from the 3000 block of Cannon Road.

Theft: A man invited an unidentified female to his room. The female took money from the victim while he was sleeping at the Econo Lodge, Seventy-Six Drive.

Unauthorized use: The unauthorized use of a 1994 Pontiac Grand Prix was reported in the residential 100 block of Country Green Drive.

Drug offense: Police issued a man a summons for a drug offense involving the prescription drug anti-depressant Paxil at the intersection of Mahoning Avenue and Wilcox Road.

Auto theft: A 1990 Oldsmobile was reported stolen from the apartment complex in the 1000 block of Compass West.

Feb. 12

Arrest: Police arrested a man on a warrant out of Mahoning County Court for criminal damage at Blue Ribbon Motors, 4004 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: Money was stolen from a purse at Infocision, 5740 Interstate Blvd.

Theft: Checks were reported stolen from a business at Alpine Motors, 220 S. Meridian Road.

Burglary: An undetermined amount of money was reported stolen from a residence in the 100 block of Westchester Drive.

Drug offense: Police charged an unidentified man for using a bad prescription at Kmart, 4475 Mahoning Ave.

Feb. 13

Theft: Police arrested a man for theft at Santisi's IGA, 4477 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: Three DVDs were stolen from Pilot Oil, 1150 N. Canfield-Niles Road.

Theft: Personal items and the victim's vehicle were taken by a roommate in the 80 block of North Raccoon Road.

Theft: A total of $154 in cash was taken by a flim-flam artist at Save-a-Lot, 1715 S. Raccoon Road.

Burglary: A .25 caliber semi-automatic handgun and $40 in assorted coins were stolen from the residential 100 block of Parkgate Avenue.

Feb. 14

Theft: Jogging suits were stolen from J.C. Penney Co., 6000 Mahoning Ave.

Breaking and entering: Holiday items were stolen from Uncle Bob's Storage, 3690 LeHarps Road.

Attempted burglary: A screen was cut, but suspects were scared off by the homeowner in the residential 5000 block of Winthrop Drive.

Criminal damaging: Lawn damage was reported in the residential 5000 block of Baker Street.

Feb. 15

Theft: An AM-FM compact disc player was stolen from a vehicle in the residential 40 block of North Roanoke Avenue.

Theft: Pillows, sheets and other items were stolen from a room at Econo Lodge, Seventy-Six Drive.

Theft: Police said three juveniles stole items from Wal-Mart, 6001 Mahoning Ave.

Criminal damaging: A window was damaged on a vehicle at Fours Company, 3765 Henricks Road.

Burglary: Money was taken from a residence, but no signs of forced entry were found, in the 3000 block of Riblet Avenue.

Feb. 16

Assault: A man was assaulted by another man at The Babylon, 114 Javit Court.

Criminal damaging: Glasses were broken and holes were put in a wall at an apartment in the 4000 block of Woodhurst Drive.

Theft: Two signs were stolen from Winthrop Drive.

Criminal damaging: A mailbox and post were damaged in the residential 3000 block of Forty-Second Street.

Criminal damaging: A mailbox and post sign were damaged in the 3000 block of Darbyshire Drive.

Assault: A man assaulted another man at The Mill, 1743 S. Raccoon Road.

Theft: Patrons walked out without paying their bill at Cracker Barrel restaurant, 5600 Interstate Blvd.
