McDonald girls win Div. IV game

LIBERTY -- Sara Toth scored 19 points to lead the McDonald High girls basketball team to a 45-38 victory over Southern in the Division IV tournament Saturday at Liberty High.

Kristen Thomas scored 10 for Southern.

Bristol 49, Mathews 46: LIBERTY -- Niki Rowles had 17 points, while Katie Leasure added 12 and Sarah Henry 10 for Bristol in its Div. IV tournament win.

Tarra Thompson had 18 points and Tara Ford 13 for Mathews.

Howland 58, Jefferson 44: JEFFERSON -- Marianne Krececzowski scored 19 points, while Darcy Quinlan added 17 to lead Howland in a regular season game.

Kristina Ferenac pulled down 13 rebounds and had six points to reinforce the Tigers (18-2).

Struthers 53, Campbell 36: STRUTHERS -- Kristy Marapese had five of her 11 points in the first quarter as Struthers took 12-1 lead in a rout of Campbell.

Laura Berry led Struthers (5-15) with 16 points. Amanda Quinn scored 15 points -- all in the second half -- for Campbell (6-14).
