Howland downs Jefferson for 18th

JEFFERSON -- Marianne Krececzowski scored 19 points while Darcy Quinlan added 17 to lead the Howland High girls basketball team past Jefferson, 58-44.

Kristina Ferenac pulled off 13 rebounds and had six points to reinforce the Tigers (18-2). Lindsey Pipen registered 11 points and Alison Czryka 10 to spark Jefferson (15-5).

Struthers 53, Campbell 36: STRUTHERS -- Kristy Marapese had five of her 11 points in the first quarter as Struthers took 12-1 lead in a rout of Campbell.

Laura Berry led Struthers (5-15) with 16 points. Amanda Quinn scored 15 points -- all in the second half -- for Campbell (6-14).
