Police detain 3 juveniles after beating

STRUTHERS -- An 18-year-old Edison Street man was assaulted and robbed of about $675 by three Mahoning Valley juveniles around 8:30 p.m. Monday at his home.
The victim told police a 16-year-old Lowellville man came to the side door of his home. The victim noticed a Pontiac Grand Prix waiting outside with a blond woman in the driver's seat and two other men in the car. When he went to the door, the 16-year-old punched him and knocked him backwards, he said. The two other men, whom police later identified as a 17-year-old and a 16-year-old, both of Campbell, who had been in the car, entered the home and also assaulted him.
Police said all three left the home, fleeing east on Edison in the car.
Police action: Officers stopped the car traveling north on North Bridge Street and took all four people to the police department for questioning. The three juveniles are in custody at the juvenile justice center. Police are still questioning the woman, an 18-year-old from Youngstown, who is no longer in custody.
The victim was treated at Forum Health Northside Medical Center.
Detectives said the victim knew at least one of the suspects.
