AUSTINTOWN -- Members of Sweetbriar Garden Club met Jan. 3 for dinner at The Jacaranda and then gathered at the home of Marge Bielawski for installation of officers.
Installed as president of the organization was Sharon Maloney. Her associate officers are Jean Davidson, vice president; Dorothy Fizet, secretary; and Sandy Mitchell, treasurer.
The club was started in 1960 and is a member of the Garden Forum of the Greater Youngstown Area and the Garden Club of Ohio. Its civic project is the spring planting and Christmas decorating of the Austintown Public Library.
The club meets at 7 p.m. the first Thursday of each month.
