Police arrest six at E. Florida Ave. house

YOUNGSTOWN -- Police arrested six people who visited what officers called a "known drug house" Friday night and Saturday morning on the South Side.

The arrests came as the people left the house at 227 E. Florida Ave. Police confiscated a handgun and three plastic bags containing suspected marijuana.

Arrested were a 33-year-old East Florida Avenue man charged by police with carrying a concealed weapon and driving under suspension; a 21-year-old Loveland Road man wanted for failing to appear in court; a 30-year-old Potomac Avenue man wanted for failing to appear in court; a 17-year-old Potomac Avenue boy charged with drug abuse-marijuana; a 29-year-old Hunter Avenue woman charged with possession of marijuana; and a 37-year-old Lakewood Avenue man charged with drug abuse-marijuana, driving under suspension, and driving without a rear license plate light.
