LIMELIGHT Awards, achievements

YOUNGSTOWN -- David Dickey, a North Lima resident and president of Joe Dickey Electric, has been re-elected president of the Penn-Ohio Chapter of the National Electrical Contractors Association. Others elected were: Brian Keeling of Waynco Electrical Contractors, vice-president and treasurer; William Leone of W-T Leone's Tri-Area Electric Co., Inc., and C. James Beil of University Electric, both named to the board of directors; and Rex Ferry of Valley Electrical Consolidated, elected to a two-year term as governor to the national association and to the board of directors.

YOUNGSTOWN -- Carney-McNicholas of Youngstown has been recognized by United Van Lines for exceptional professional achievement. The local firm was named to United's President's Club for achieving $2 million in sales last year, and won its Customer Choice Award for achieving exceptional scores in customer surveys. Carney-McNicholas is an agent for United.

YOUNGSTOWN -- PLANCO, a wholesaler of financial products and subsidiary of Hartford Life and Accident Insurance Co., has named Flonnoya Franklin and G. Byron Abrigg to its 2001 Captain's Club. Franklin is a registered representative with Edward Jones in Youngstown, and Abrigg holds the same position with Edward Jones in Canfield. They were recognized for producing $1 million or more in sales in a year.

SALEM -- Seneca Enterprises, based in Franklin, Pa., garnered 30 awards at the recent Printing Excellence Association of Western Pennsylvania competition. The company was recognized particularly for its annual report printing and specialized packaging. Seneca includes Salem Label in Salem, Globe Ticket and Label, Seneca Express and Distribution and Seneca Printing and Label, Inc.

YOUNGSTOWN -- Kevin McGhee and Esther Rathnam, both employees of The Cafaro Co. of Youngstown, have earned the professional Certified Marketing Director accreditation from the International Council of Shopping Centers. Thomas Michael Shine of Kimco Realty Corp. in Canfield earned the Certified Shopping Center Manager accreditation.
