GIRARD -- Barbara Jean Bornemiss, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Bornemiss, 1057 North Ave., and Dr. Basem N. Doss, a son of Dr. and Mrs. Nabil Doss, 1045 Seahaven Drive, Mamaroneck, N.Y., were united in marriage Dec. 28 at St. Rose Church.
Monsignor Martin Susko presided at the 5:30 p.m. ceremony, and the couple were honored during a reception held at the Holiday Inn MetroPlex Centre, Liberty.
After returning from a Caribbean cruise, they live at 5 S. Heathrow Drive, Rome, Ga.
Pearls and sequins enhanced the sheer jacket worn by the bride over her strapless white A-line gown.
Hunter green gowns were worn by Kristin Glasser, the honor attendant, and the bridesmaids, Heidi Doss, the groom's sister; Lesley Groubert; Susan Taylor; and Therese Zuppo, the bride's cousin. Junior bridesmaid was Gina Ponzio, her cousin.
Dr. Maged Doss served as his brother's best man, and groomsmen were Ken and Joe Bornemiss, brothers of the bride; Shirreef Loza, the groom's cousin; and Brad Kroc. Junior groomsman was Michael Bornemiss, and ring bearers were Patrick and Stephen Bornemiss, her nephews.
The bride, a registered nurse at Redmond Regional Hospital in Rome, graduated from Kent State University with a bachelor's degree in nursing.
The groom graduated from Manhattanville College in Purchase, N.Y., and from Chicago Medical School. He is an internist with Redmond Physicians Network in Cedartown, Ga.
