NORTH JACKSON -- The Springfield High boys basketball team kept its unbeaten Inter-County League streak intact as it trounced Jackson-Milton 78-43 Friday night.
Pat Birch triggered the Tigers' attack with 20 points, while David Rispinto chipped in with 16 points and Dan Schuler 14.
Ten players got into the scoring column for the Tigers (13-1, 9-0). Tim Shaw led the Bluejays (5-10, 2-8) with 18 points.
South Range 93, Lowellville 49: LOWELLVILLE -- South Range outscored Lowellville 24-5 in the third quarter to break the game open.
Jason King scored 16 to lead South Range (10-3, 7-2), which had every player score in the game. Matt Kirk added 14 points and Jordan Taylor scored 12.
Dan Packner had 14 points and Chad Likens had a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds for Lowellville (0-15, 0-9).
McDonald 55, Western Reserve 42: MCDONALD -- The Blue Devils pulled away from a close game as they outscored Western Reserve 15-7 in the third quarter to lead 38-29 going into the final period.
Nick Testa paced McDonald with 19 points. Kevin Stonestreet added 18 and Jason Joynes 13.
Jeremy Shevel led Western Reserve (4-11, 4-6) with 16 points.
