CITY/MAC Timken uses rally to gain share of title

Chaney had little problem with visiting Vision Quest.
YOUNGSTOWN -- A third quarter rally by Canton Timken took Rayen right out of its City Series battle Friday as the Trojans gained a share of the league title with a 73-64 victory.
Timken, leading just 28-26 at halftime, outscored the Tigers 23-17 in the third period to pull away.
Edgar Webster paced Timken (10-5, 4-0) with a game-high 33 points.
Rayen (3-10, 1-4) was led by Jamal Higgs with 26 points, while Anthony Jones added 23.
Chaney 80, Vision Quest 44: YOUNGSTOWN -- Matt Lobaugh poured in 22 points to lead Chaney to an easy victory over Vision Quest.
The Cowboys (6-9) also got 18 points from Jason Bowlen and 14 more from Roy Austin, who sparked the team's rebounding with 18. Chaney outrebounded Vision Quest 58-35.
Albert Dunn scored 13 points to lead Vision Quest (5-8).
Canfield 69, Howland 33: CANFIELD -- The Cardinals' defense handcuffed the Howland offense in the first half, allowing it only eight points while building a commanding 30-8 lead in the Metro Athletic Conference game.
Chase Booms and Chad Baker each scored 18 points for Canfield (8-7, 3-3).
Scott Day paced the Tigers (5-10, 2-4) with eight points.
Struthers 64, Salem 46: SALEM -- Struthers put three players in double figures to keep Salem winless in the Metro Athletic Conference.
Jason Martin scored 14 points, while Jason Mitchell added 12 and Jim Franceschelli 10 for the Wildcats (7-8, 3-3).
Salem (1-13, 0-6) was led by Travis Mong with 16 points and Zac Grey with 12.
