POLICE CALLS

Liberty, Girard, Hubbard

Summary of police reports:

LIBERTY

Jan. 24

False identity: Someone ordered items from Dell Computer using the name of another person, who had no idea about the ordered items.

Vandalism: A 1993 Nissan had damage to the exterior of the car at the PDQ car wash, 1951 Churchill Road.

Menacing: A man was pulling into Speedway, 4210 Belmont Ave. when approached by an unidentified man who threatened to harm him for supposedly cutting him off.

Telephone harassment: A woman reports that she has had repeated vulgar calls from her husband's ex-wife.

GIRARD

Jan. 22

Unruly juvenile: A woman reports that her two juvenile sons have repeatedly been stealing items from the house and have not been showing up for school. She's also found a bottle filled with non-narcotic prescription medicine Both juveniles were charged with being unruly.

Jan. 23

Harassment: A man said he has been repeatedly harassed by his ex-girlfriend and by her new boyfriend in the 600 block of Forsythe.

Fraud: An unidentified man entered True North, 307 South State St. and purchased cigarettes and lottery tickets with three rolls of dimes that, when opened, contained pennies.

Drug paraphernalia: Two juveniles were found behind an office building at 25 E. Liberty. One of the boys had a homemade piece of paraphernalia with marijuana residue in it. Both juveniles were charged with unruly, drug abuse.

Menacing: A woman reports that she has received messages on her answering machine by a man that she knows, threatening to kill her.

Jan. 24

Dog attack: A man reports that he was attacked by his neighbor's dog in the 400 block of East Broadway.

Burglary: A man reports that a television was stolen from his residence in the 500 block of Trumbull.

Unruly: A boy was charged with being unruly for skipping school and having a bag of marijuana.

Jan. 25

Criminal damage: Locks were damaged at A & amp; M Towing 1200 S. State St.

HUBBARD

Jan. 18

Theft: A woman reports that a package delivered from UPS to her door in the 300 block of West Liberty Street was stolen.

Jan. 19

Theft: A car was broken into in the 200 block of Fifth Avenue.

Jan. 20

Criminal mischief: A woman reports that someone repeatedly keeps knocking garbage cans in the 800 block of Saul Drive

Theft: A house was broken into in the 100 block of North Main Street.

Jan. 22

Property lost: A set of car keys were lost while the owner was at the North Main car wash.

Unruly: A woman reports that she was hit while entering Kyle Funeral Home with a snowball, thrown by two juveniles who ran away.

Jan. 23

Theft: An unidentified man was spotted at Rite-Aid for attempting to shoplift cigars. When approached, he dropped the items and ran out the door.

Jan. 24

Aggravated menacing: A male was suspended from Reed school, 150 Hall Avenue. for making threats towards another student.

BOARDMAN

Jan. 24

Theft: A refrigerator was stolen from a residence in the 7000 block of Market Street.

Drug documents: A 38-year-old Poland woman was arrested at Phar-Mor drive-through for illegal processing of drug documents.

Theft: A woman reports a $190 check she had received was returned to her due to a closed account.

Theft: A 16-year-old Youngstown man was arrested at Kohl's, 383 Boardman Poland Road for attempting to steal $75 worth of shoes.

Theft: A 43-year-old Youngstown woman was arrested at JCPenney, 7401 Market St. for attempting to steal almost $300 in clothes.

Vandalism: A house in the 30 block of Newton was egged.

Assault: A 19-year-old Boardman man was arrested in the 500 block of Brookwood Road

Theft: A cellular phone was stolen from a woman's purse in the 30 block of Gillian Lane.

Jan. 25

Vandalism: A rear window was broken out of a 1988 Chevy mini-van while parked in the driveway in the 30 block of Overhill Road

Theft: A 28-year-old Youngstown man was arrested at JCPenney for shoplifting $200 worth of merchandise.

Theft: A house was broken into in the 7000 block of Huntington.

Jan. 26

Vandalism: A 2001 Pontiac Aztec had $400 in damage done to the exterior while parked in a parking lot in the 7000 block of Paxton.

Vandalism: $500 in damage was done to window locks by an unidentified person in the 6000 block of Applecrest.

Theft: A 19-year-old female was arrested at JCPenney for attempting to steal $36 worth of clothes.

Theft: A wallet was lost at Steak and Shake restaurant, 6786 Applewood Blvd.

Possession of drugs: A 31-year-old Austintown man was arrested at South Commons on South Avenue for drug possession.

Jan. 27

Theft: A house was broken into in the 2000 block of Wingate.

Theft: Ten Vindicators were stolen from a front lot on South Avenue.

Theft: A 15-year-old Youngstown female was arrested at Kaufmann's for attempting to steal $200 worth of merchandise.

Criminal damage: A brick was thrown through a bedroom window causing $300 worth of damage in the 100 block of Indianola Road

Theft: A 36-year-old Springfield man was arrested at Walgreens, 7295 Market St. for attempting to shoplift $100 worth of merchandise.

Jan. 28

Criminal damage: A house had $375 worth of damage in the 4000 block of South Avenue.

Theft: A house was broken into with more than $375 worth of items gone in the 3000 block of South Avenue.

Theft: A man pumped $18 worth of gas at Shell, 950 Boardman Poland Road and left without paying.

Theft: A $500 ring was stolen from a tanning bed at Electric Beach Tanning, 1295 Boardman Canfield Road

Theft: A 16-year-old Youngstown female was arrested at JCPenney for attempting to steal $100 worth of merchandise.

Jan. 29

Theft: A residence was broken into with $400 worth of stolen items in the 4000 block of South Avenue.

Vandalism: A 1997 Ford truck was damaged while parked in a driveway in the 100 block of Charles.

Theft: $40 worth of condoms were stolen from BP Oil, 1090 Boardman Poland Road.

Theft: A 13-year-old Youngstown female was arrested at Wal-Mart for attempting to steal $40 worth of merchandise.

Theft: A garage was broken into with more than $1,600 worth of items missing in the 5000 block of Tippecanoe.

Theft: A house was broken into with more than $800 worth of items gone in the 700 block of Forestridge.

Jan. 30

Assault: A 57-year-old man was arrested in the 90 block of Lemans Drive for attempting to pull an unwilling female into his apartment.

Theft: A 1993 Nissan was broken into with more than $200 in merchandise taken while in a parking lot at 520 Boardman Canfield Road.

Theft: A 1991 Mercedes was broken into while parked in the garage in the 4000 block of Simon Road. More than $2,000 of compact disks were stolen.
