ADVISORIES

XChampion Parents Advisory will meet at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday in the high school media center.

ASSOCIATIONS

XBoardman-Canfield Branch of American Association of University Women will meet at 6:45 p.m. Wednesday at Canfield Presbyterian Church. The program will be presented by the Rev. Michael Harrison of Union Baptist Church, Youngstown. All college graduates are welcome. For more information call (330) 533-6424.

XThe Eastern Ohio Pharmacists Association will meet at 9:30 p.m. Tuesday at Lucianno's Restaurant, Austintown, for a program on "New Therapies in the Treatment of Depression" by Irene Orynchak. Refreshments will be provided. All pharmacists and pharmaceutical representatives are welcome.

XA meeting of the Warren Charter Chapter of the American Business Women's Association to be held Tuesday at Cafe 422 in Niles will begin with a social hour at 6 and dinner at 6:30 p.m. Representatives from several ABWA chapters will speak. For information or reservations call (330) 898-3707.

XWarren-Trumbull County Branch of American Association of University Women will hold its monthly meeting Saturday at the First Presbyterian Church, 256 Mahoning N.W. XMcDonald Basketball Boosters will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the high school cafeteria.

AUXILIARIES

XBrookfield Township Volunteer Firemen's Auxiliary will meet Tuesday at the fire hall.

XEagles 213 Auxiliary will meet at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday after the 7:15 p.m. officers meeting. Melva Day will preside.

XITAM Post 3 Auxiliary will meet at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the post with Sarah Cheredar presiding. Hostesses will be Ann Mastro and Jean Doinoff.

XVFW 7538 Auxiliary will meet for dinner at 6 p.m. Wednesday at The Elmton in Struthers. A meeting will follow at 7:30 with Dorothy McLaughlin presiding. Reservations must be made by Monday by calling Eleanor Goskie at (330) 755-2051.

CLASSES

CLUBS

XBoardman-Poland Junior Women's League will meet at 7 p.m. Monday at the Glenellen Community Room in North Lima for a program on women's self-defense. A March 10 style show will be planned. XFriends of the Poland Library will welcome new members during a coffee hour at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the library, 311 S. Main St. Guest speaker Mike Bosela will discuss the radio reading service. Anyone interested in becoming a member is invited to attend.

XThe executive committee and board of directors of the Junior League of Youngstown will meet Tuesday at Stambaugh Auditorium. The executive committee will meet at 6 p.m. followed by the board of directors at 7. All committee chairmen are asked to take their 2002-03 projected budgets for the treasurer. XPoland Center Homemakers will meet at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Poland United Methodist Church. Hostesses for the casserole luncheon will be Joyce Shade, Regina Shuluga and Alexandra Simon. Members are reminded to take two-ply decorated napkins, a small foam brush, scissors and an ivy bowl for the work project, and a Valentine for an exchange.

XVienna Fish and Game Club will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Conservation Clubhouse, Youngstown-Kingsville Road N.E.

GUILDS

XPenn-0hio Chapter of the American Needlepoint Guild will meet at 10 a.m. Saturday at New Castle Public Library, 207 E. North St., New Castle, Pa. Members are asked to compile a list of items to show at a needlework display planned for May 19 to June 14 at the Hoyt Institute of Fine Arts in New Castle. The display will be discussed at the April meeting.

MUSICAL GROUPS

The invocation will be given by Joyce Galieti. Paul Sracic, Youngstown State University professor, will speak on "State of Ohio Reapportionment." XCourt St. Ann 1875, Catholic Daughter of the Americas, will meet Monday at Holy Name Church following a noon Mass. Hostesses will be Ann Semko and Alice Chizmar. New members are welcome.

XMothers of the Crucifix Society of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Youngstown, will meet at 2 p.m. Sunday in the lower hall at the church with Caroline McCaffrey presiding. Refreshments will be served. New members are welcome.

XRichard Brown Memorial United Methodist Women will meet Wednesday with Eleanor Frost presiding. The executive meeting will begin at 12:15 p.m. followed by a hot lunch to be served at 1 p.m. by Edith Thornton and her committee. The blessing will be given by Jayne Jobe. There will be a general meeting, after which Jobe will present a program on prayer and self-denial.

XSt. Michael Altar Guild will meet at 7 p.m. Monday at the church. There will be recitation of the rosary followed by the program and business meeting. Pauline Weldon will preside, and Barbara Crooks will give a book talk about "Lots of Love." The board of directors will meet at 10:30 a.m. Feb. 18 at the parish center.

XSt. Rose Altar and Rosary Society will meet at 1 p.m. Tuesday in the lower church hall. Jo Morano and her committee will be hostesses for the social, and a program on "Self-defense for Women" will be presented by Jeff Palmer.

XTod Avenue United Methodist Women will meet at 10 a.m. Wednesday. The program will include recognition of book readers, a pledge service and a nurture outreach program. Those attending are asked to take a covered dish and their own table service. Beverages will be provided. The executive team will meet at 9 a.m. After lunch the group will work on the Teddy Bear Mission.

XGirard-Liberty Kiwanis will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Little Peppino's, 728 N. State St.

XGirard-Liberty Rotary will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the MetroPlex Centre, Liberty.
