Free ice cream treat
YOUNGSTOWN -- The Youngstown Community Food Center and Gleaners Food Bank are planning to give less fortunate families in the area a cool treat with an ice cream "Gallons Giveaway."
Gallons of ice cream will be given to families from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday at the Youngstown Community Food Center and Gleaners Food Bank on Pyatt Street. Photo ID and proof of income are required.
Firefighters to aid MDA
GIRARD -- Girard Firefighters Local 1220 will conduct a "Fill the Boot" collection Friday.
Firefighters will be stationed at intersections along U.S. Route 422 with their boots. Motorists can drop donations into the boots to benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
