"Back to School with Captain Underpants." Stories, craft and games for children at 4 p.m. Sept. 12 at East, 4 p.m. Sept. 9 at North and 4:30 p.m. Sept. 11 at South.

"Captain Underpants and the Loony Librarian." Loony fun for school-age children at 4 p.m. Sept. 18 at Lowellville, Sept. 17 at New Middletown, and Sept. 25 at Poland.

"Sports Spectacular." Fun for school-age children at 4 p.m. Sept. 18 at Canfield, and for children of all ages at 1 p.m. Sept. 21 at Greenford, 10:30 a.m. Sept. 21 at North Lima and 4 p.m. Sept. 19 at Sebring.

"Tales for Toddlers." "Think Safe!...Be Safe! With an IDENTI-KIT." The Boardman Police Dept. will provide free IDENTI-KITS that will include a photo-ID card and emergency information for children from 1 to 3 p.m. Sept. 28 at Boardman. Child should be accompanied by an adult.

"Time for Babies and Books." Books, songs, rhymes and more at 9:30 a.m. (for babies 6-12 months) and 10:30 a.m. (for babies 13-23 months) Sept. 5 at Boardman, Sept. 16 at Canfield and Sept. 4 at Poland, and 10:30 a.m. (for babies ages 6-23 months) Sept. 12 at Austintown. Each baby must be accompanied by an adult.

"Way Out West." Stories, craft and more for school-age children at 4 p.m. Sept. 26 at Brownlee Woods, Sept. 25 at Campbell and Sept. 24 at Struthers.

"Duel of Wits: Board Game Face-Off for Teens." For grades 7-12 at 6 p.m. Sept. 10 at Austintown. Snacks will be served.

"Get Those Books Covered." Materials and help will be available to get your books covered for grades 7-12 at 4 p.m. Sept. 4 at Poland.

"Playin' in the Band." Discuss forming a band, writing tunes and getting gigs with band members -- for grades 7-12 at 7 p.m. Sept. 26 at Boardman, 6 p.m. Sept. 9 at Brownlee Woods and 6 p.m. Sept. 16 at Struthers.

"Research Workshop." For grades 7-12 at 6 p.m. Sept. 25 at Main.

"Where Would You Get Tattooed?" Try out a tattoo on a temporary basis. For grades 7-12 at 4:30 p.m. Sept. 19 at East, Sept. 17 at North and Sept. 18 at South.

"Friends of the Library Book Sale." Will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Sept. 11 (preview night for members), 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sept. 12 and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 14 at North.

"Friends of the Library Meetings" are scheduled at 10 a.m. Sept. 16 at Austintown, 9:30 a.m. Sept. 9 at Boardman, 6:30 p.m. Sept. 10 at Campbell, 5:30 p.m. Sept. 23 at Lowellville, 5:30 p.m. Sept. 9 at Main and 10 a.m. Sept. 3 at Poland.

"Closings." The Warren-Trumbull County Public Library and its branches, Bookmobile and Homebound Services will be closed next Sunday and Sept. 2.

Fall Hours Resume. Starting Sept. 3, the Main Library will be open 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. The 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday hours will resume Sept. 8, and the Lordstown Branch will begin Saturday hours from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sept. 7.
