BOARDMAN -- The wedding of Courtney DeRhodes and Shane Michael Phillips took place at 2 p.m. Aug. 2 at St. James Meeting House in Boardman Township Park.
The Rev. Norman E. Crewson officiated for the daughter of Frank and Michele DeRhodes, 3920 E. Calla Road, Poland, and the son of Beverly Cleland of Debary, Fla.
A reception was held at The Georgetown, and the newlyweds honeymooned in the Great Smoky Mountains in Townscend, Tenn.
They are living at 1601 Meadowbrook Ave., Poland.
A white strapless gown fashioned with a corset-style bodice trimmed with beaded lace was worn by the bride. The full skirt had a detachable semicathedral train and a French bustle.
Chantal DeRhodes, the bride's sister, was maid of honor, and bridesmaids were Nora Smith, her cousin; Meghan Duffy; and Kristen Johnson. They wore light-pink gowns. Bell ringer was Cheyenne Echard, the groom's cousin, and flower girl was Paige DeRhodes, the bride's niece.
The groom's cousin, Bob Wilson, served as best man, and groomsmen were Duane Smith, the bride's cousin; Bret Phillips, the groom's brother; and Luke DeRhodes, her brother. Ring bearer was Austin Echard.
Mrs. Phillips is pursuing a bachelor's degree in physical education at Youngstown State University. She is employed as a waitress at Das Dutch Haus in Columbiana.
Her husband is an iron worker with Local Union 202.
