Sporting event tickets increase by $1

Published: Tue, August 20, 2002 @ 12:00 a.m.

HERMITAGE, Pa. -- It will cost adults a bit more to attend Hickory High School sporting events this year.

The Hermitage School Board approved a $1 across-the-board increase for general admission adult tickets for boys and girls basketball, football, volleyball and wrestling.

All adult general admission tickets were $3 but will now be $4.

All student tickets will remain at $2.

The cost increase was necessary "to help cover cost of all the sports," said Duane Piccirilli, board president.

He said senior citizens will be able to attend all home games free but must first secure a pass from the central administration offices.

Adult tickets for reserved seating for boys basketball and football will also go up from $4 to $5, and individual red seating (seats with backs in the football stadium) will go up from $5 to $6 per game.
