WARREN -- Mr. and Mrs. Guido DelGarbino of Warren celebrated their golden wedding anniversary July 14 at a Mass at St. James Church and a reception afterward at The Center at Brittany Place in Niles.
Hosts for the festivities were the couple's children and their spouses, Doreen and Raymond Vitullo of Austintown, Karen and Mark Cherol of Boardman, Mark and Susan DelGarbino of Clyde, and Terry and Faye DelGarbino of Parma Heights. Eight grandchildren complete the family.
Mr. DelGarbino and the former Rosemary Fellows were married July 5, 1952, at St. Mary Church. He retired in 1986 from Warren City Schools, where he was an elementary-school teacher and principal for 31 years. He retired this year from the after-school program at St. James, which he founded in 1991 and served as director-teacher. He is a member of the Ohio Retired Teachers Association.
His wife retired in 1993 from Second National Bank, where she was employed in the bookkeeping department. She had previously worked as the youth secretary for the YMCA for 10 years. She also is a 23-year Avon representative and a 25-year member of the Warren Community Chorus.
The couple are members of St. James Church and Howland SCOPE.
The DelGarbinos also celebrated the event by renewing their vows June 2 at St. Columba Cathedral in Youngstown.
