LAWRENCE COUNTY FAIR
Schedule
The 49th Annual Lawrence County Fair kicks off Monday at the fairgrounds, just east of New Castle on Pa. Route 108. General admission is $7 Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and includes all rides and grandstand entertainment. Children under 2 are admitted free.
Admission on Thursday, Friday and Saturday is $5 for ages 7 and older. It is free for anyone age 6 or younger. Prices vary from $4 to $7 for grandstand entertainment Thursday, Friday and Saturday, depending on age.
Gates open each morning at 8 a.m. and close after nightly grandstand entertainment is finished. There will be strolling mandolin music by Joe Bucciero from 2 to 5 p.m. Monday through Wednesday, and Eddie
Boren-One Man Band will play from 5 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday through Saturday.
Monday
Morning: Ringy Dingy Bell Choir.
1 to 4 p.m.: Ident-A-Kid and VIAL for Life.
1 to 4:30 p.m.: Games and prizes plus crafts.
4:30 p.m.: Sign language program.
6:30 p.m.: Shenango High School Band.
7:30 p.m.: Recognition of Grange youth.
7:30 p.m.: Dave Martin's Rodeo in the grandstand.
8 p.m.: Musical entertainment.
Tuesday
10 a.m.: Children up to 24 months compete as they dress as a favorite farm animal.
2 and 4 p.m.: Jay Adams, magician.
7:30 p.m.: Bull ride mania at the grandstand.
8 p.m.: Uncharted Course," musical entertainment.
Wednesday
9:30 a.m.: Children's bike races and safety.
10 a.m.: Ages 2 to 7 dress in their favorite patriotic outfit.
2 and 4 p.m.: Jay Adams, magician.
5 p.m.: Calf dress-up/cheese auction/giant sundae.
6 p.m.: "The Trapper," pest control information.
7 p.m.: Wilmington High School Band.
7 p.m.: Horseshoe contest at the horseshoe pit.
7 p.m.: Mark Galizia's "World of Magic."
7:30 p.m.: Flat track racing at the grandstand.
8:30 p.m.: Santa Fe Band, country music.
Thursday
10 a.m.: Ages 6 to 12 have an unusual-pet contest.
Noon: Pedal power contest for ages 3 to 8.
4 p.m.: Ronald McDonald.
6 p.m.: Junior livestock sale.
6:30 p.m.: Laurel High School Band.
7:30 p.m.: ATPA Tractor/Truck Pull, followed by the Combine Demo Derby.
Friday
10 a.m.: Talent contest for ages 7 to 14.
5:30 p.m.: Country cloggers.
6:30 p.m.: Country cloggers.
7:30 p.m.: Lead- line contest.
7:30 p.m.: ATPA Tractor/Truck Pul , followed by the Combine Demo Derby.
8 p.m.: Country Wranglers, country and western music.
Saturday
9 a.m.: Farm stock/antique tractor pull at the grandstand.
5:30 p.m.: Karen Elder and her Dancing Shoes dance group.
7:30 p.m.: Lou Greco and Storm, country and western oldies.
8 p.m.: Demolition Derby and fireworks.
9:30 p.m.: Lou Greco and Storm.
