A series of arsons is the focus of Mercer County Crime Solvers this week:
Crime: Arson, theft and criminal mischief.
Details: Police are investigating a series of arsons that occurred in June and earlier this month. On June 2, a concession stand and storage building at the Notre Dame School sports complex on Highland Road was burned at a loss of about $60,000. On June 9, a golf cart was stolen from a home on Maple Drive and driven to Lori Lane where two pieces of construction equipment were damaged and set on fire. On June 14, picnic shelter #2 in Buhl Farm was sprayed with graffiti and attempts were made to burn the shelter tables. On Aug. 4, a construction vehicle was set on fire on Silver Ridge Court.
