Information on growing roses offered

WARREN -- The public is invited to view roses grown in a landscape setting and to receive literature containing information on growing roses during a program being offered by Warren Rose Society.

The show, demonstrations and program will be presented beginning at 3:15 p.m. Sunday at the home of the society president Ray Carroll, 16474 Palmyra Road, near Lake Milton. There is a cement driveway for the disabled.

Programs will include the following: introduction to novice rose growers, starting roses from cuttings, drying roses, and preparing for a rose show. Literature on growing roses in the Mahoning Valley also will be available.

The event will follow a rose society picnic to be held at 1:30 p.m. at the site.
