Home Savings gives$20,000 to food bank
YOUNGSTOWN -- Second Harvest Foodbank is the recipient of a $20,000 seed grant from The Home Savings & amp; Loan Co. to establish a permanent fund that will be used to provide food.
The grant will enable the food bank to purchase food such as cereal, peanut butter and canned meat that the agencies always need.
Home Savings, a subsidiary of United Community Financial Corp. and the Home Savings Charitable Foundation, has contributed millions of dollars to Mahoning Valley nonprofit organizations.
