XAnimal Welfare League of Trumbull County will sponsor its 7th annual "Walk for the Animals" Sunday at the Packard Park Shelter House in Warren. XA benefit for Seth Powell will begin at noon Saturday at Milo's on 422 in Niles. Cost is $10, and there will be drawings, prizes, karaoke, a pig roast, beef and chicken. Powell, 16, of Mineral Ridge, a son of Gary and Johnna Disko of McDonald, was severely injured when hit by a jet ski June 11, 2001. Donations also are being accepted at all branches of Seven Seventeen Credit Union.
