"Time for Babies and Books." "A Poetry Reading." Selections from Gathering Leaves, Poland High School's literary magazine. For grades 7-12 at 1 p.m. May 19, Poland.

"Make a CD Suncatcher." Recycle old CDs into suncatchers -- materials provided. For grades 7-12 at 4 p.m. May 6, West. Snacks provided.

"Teen Scavenger Hunt." Bring a friend and search together in this library quest. Prizes!! For grades 7-12 at 4:30 p.m. May 16, East; May 14, North; and May 15, South.

"Pinball Wizards." Come and join the fun for grades 7-12 at 6:30 p.m. May 6, Canfield; and 4 p.m., May 6, Sebring.

"Lunch and Learn: Growing and Gathering Herbs." Spend your lunch hour learning about the fascinating world of herbs with Anne Sole at noon May 14, Main. Those attending can take a brown bag lunch to enjoy during the program. Coffee will be provided free of charge. Co-sponsored by the Friends of Main Library and YSU Metro College

"Grant Center: Grant-seeking Basics Workshop." "Cybertour." A brief overview of the Foundation Center's Web site and the various ways it can be helpful to grant seekers looking for information on the Internet. "Closings." All libraries in Mahoning County will be closed May 27 for the Memorial Day Holiday.

"Blood Pressure Screenings." From 10 a.m. to noon May 7, Brookfield; 1-3 p.m. May 7, Liberty; 10 a.m. to noon Thursday and May 20, Main Library; and 1-3 p.m. May 20, Cortland.

"Scrapbooking" at 6:30 p.m. Thursday with Cari Hornikel as instructor. Registration is required at the circulation desk, and there is a $10 fee for supplies. Class size is limited.

"Closings." Library will be closed May 25-27 for the Memorial Day weekend. May 18 will be the last Sunday that the library will be open until the Labor Day weekend.
