Under the guidance of Grace Mitchell Cronan, the altruistic-culture group for Catholic women with college degrees was founded April 22, 1927, by six women who met at the home of Louise Carew. The goal of the organization was to further interest in education, to promote cooperation and friendships, and to aid the needy.
Catholic Collegiate has approximately 200 members who donate their time and efforts to provide college scholarships for young women of the community, to support worthy causes and to work for the betterment of the community.
