YOUNGSTOWN -- Police arrested a 38-year-old Parkwood Avenue woman, accusing her of slashing her boyfriend's face and hitting him with her car.
According to a police report filed by the woman's 43-year-old boyfriend around 3:10 a.m. Friday, the woman picked him at a friend's house, asking him to go for a ride to drop off another friend.
In the car, the report says, the two began arguing over money.
After they dropped off the friend, the argument escalated. Then, the report says, the man tried to exit the car but the woman pulled him inside and cut him on the face with a serrated knife.
The man eventually got out and ran. The report says the woman turned her car around and pursued him, striking him in the right leg with her vehicle.
Her report: The woman filed a police report about an hour later. According to that report, the woman was sitting in her car waiting for a friend when her boyfriend jumped into her car and struck her over the head with a drinking glass.
The man then reportedly got out and the woman sped off, possibly striking him.
The report says officers did not observe any injury on the woman's head.
The woman filed another report around 9:15 a.m., alleging that her boyfriend had cut her. She gave police an address where she thought he was staying.
When police arrived to question the boyfriend, he produced copies of police and hospital reports from earlier, alleging that the woman had injured him.
Face injured: The report says the boyfriend "had a large cut on the right side of his face and a small cut above his right eye."
Police returned to the woman's home, arrested her and took her to St. Elizabeth Health Center because of a cut on her wrist. She received stitches and was returned to the jail for booking.
