REGIONAL RESULTS

BASEBALL

Westminster 0-15, Washington & amp; Jefferson 1-6 -- Freshman Kevin Gesacion of Boardman doubled in the first game for Westminster. In the second game, Canfield graduate Kevin Culp went 3-for-4 with a home run, two runs scored and three RBIs.

Mount Union 3-6, Ohio Northern 0-5 -- Brandon McIntyre tossed a no-hitter in the first game for Mount Union (11-6, 2-0 Ohio Athletic Conference).

Thiel 6-9, Bethany 5-8 -- Freshman Keith Jackson of Salem pitched a complete game, allowing three hits while striking out two in the first game for Thiel (7-12, 2-1 Presidents' Athletic Conference). Jackson leads the team's staff with a 3-1 record.

Slippery Rock 7-7, Gannon 5-9

Wooster 3, Hiram 1

SOFTBALL

Mount Union 4-7, Thiel 7-4 -- Western Reserve High graduate Ronda Barth went 1-for-2 with an RBI and a run scored in the first game for Mount Union (11-5). Thiel fell to 7-5.

Team scoring: 1. Washington & amp; Jefferson 219, 2. Grove City 226, Seton Hill 226, Westminster 233, Thiel 264, Ursuline 288.

Note: Thiel's Liz Payne of New Castle finished 33rd with an 82.

Westminster Titan Invitational (men)

At New Castle Country Club

Note: University of Pittsburgh-Greensburg won the team title with a 321, edging Malone by three strokes. Thiel finished in 12th place with a 369. Matt Wadrose of Hermitage, Pa., led the Tomcats with an 87.
